Divorce can be a frustrating experience for parents. However, when children are involved, it is important for parents to truly co-parent their children throughout the divorce. I believe that couples should respectfully work together, and I strongly advise mediation.
I am a Supreme Court certified mediator. I try to find common ground and help parties come to an agreement together. It is much better to facilitate negotiation and allow a divorcing couple to come to an agreement than to have a judge impose an outcome on them.
I mediate cases involving family law and contested adoptions, and I act as a Private Jurist for special magistrate cases, such as binding arbitration. Unlike a mediator, as a Private Jurist I make decisions for couples. As a mediator, I help clients reach an agreement together.
